 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported.  8 children have sadly lost their lives in an early morning domestic disturbance in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is truly heartbreaking and our thoughts are with the loved ones left behind as well as the community.  This absolute tragedy occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 19th, today.  According to the Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith, 10 people have been shot with 8 of the victims being children ranging from 1 year old to 14 years old. All 8 children are deceased, and two adult women were also shot with one reportedly suffering life-threatening injuries. This heinous crime occurred in two separate homes where all the victims were found. However, the disturbing events did not end there. The male suspect reportedly carjacked an individual after carrying out his fatal rampage.  A Nebraska man who fatally struck a jogger is now suing the deceased man's estate claiming PTSD. Gavin Mass was driving along a dark road at approximately 4:45 a.m. on August 31st, 2025. As he traveled down the road, Gavin spotted a jogger, Bailey Miller, in reflective clothing. Gavin says he moved his vehicle in an attempt to give the jogger leeway. Unfortunately, this caused him to strike the jogger's husband, Anthony Miller, pictured below.   Anthony was allegedly jogging in the middle of the road, wearing dark clothing with no reflective gear.  Gavin Mass reportedly immediately stopped his vehicle and attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived. Despite everyone's best efforts, Anthony Miller passed from his injuries.  No citations were issued in the fatal accident, and it was ultimately deemed that poor lighting and weather were the cause.  JAMB Releases Results For 2nd And 3rd Day Of UTME                                                              The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on April 17 and April 18. The board  in a statement by its Public Communication Adviser, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said a total of 1,264,940 results from the two examination days are now available for candidates to access. He advised candidates to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration.  In a strange coincidence, a Titanic exhibit at the Volo Museum in Illinois flooded overnight on April 15th, the exact anniversary of the ship’s sinking in 1912. Even weirder, the source of the water is still unknown, as the building sits on high ground and nothing obvious inside was causing it after storms moved through the area. This is the second flooding issue since the exhibit opened a few years ago, it would be an odd detail any time of year, but happening on that date is kind of mind blowing.  Watch video below.

The incident led to a two-month pause in production for the season, which is scheduled to begin airing on April 20. Lee said she initially experienced symptoms she mistook for a hot flash, including sudden sweating and a feeling that something was not right. As filming continued, her condition worsened, with symptoms including restlessness, shooting pain in one leg, difficulty holding up her hand, and trouble speaking clearly.
