 Gov. Ododo’s Executive Proclamation Not State of Emergency  Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo  has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explaining that the proclamation is a lawful constitutional measure aimed at strengthening security coordination and protecting lives and property across Kogi State.  Gov. LASG ANNOUNCES NEW DATES FOR 2019/2020 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION INTO PUBLIC SCHOOLS TODAY.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Lagos State Ministry of Education has announced new dates for the 2019/2020 Entrance Examinations into the State Model Colleges and Upgraded Schools, the Placement Test into JSS 1 in all Public Secondary Schools across the State and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
According to a release by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Olatokunboh Adeleye, the examinations are aimed at testing the applicants’ academic capabilities for their choice of classes in the State-owned Schools.
She stated that the new dates for the examinations are as follows: BECE: Monday 15th -Tuesday, 23rd July 2019; Computer-Based Screening Test (CBT) is scheduled for Monday 15th - Friday, 19th July 2019, while the Paper Pencil Test (PPT) will hold on Saturday, 20th July 2019. The Placement Test is slated for Saturday, 27th July, 2019.
Speaking further on the conduct of the Examinations, the Permanent Secretary assured applicants that results would be released in good time to enable successful candidates resume into their respective schools across the State at the beginning of the new academic session in September.
While maintaining that admission will be strictly based on candidates’ performance and vacancies in Schools, she urged parents/guardians to prepare their wards effectively for these examinations and ensure punctuality at the examination venues, adding that the Lagos State Examinations Board Office is open for enquiries before the set dates.
Recall that the Ministry of Education shifted the dates for these examinations in its bid to replace the manual registration with e-Registration of candidates so as to further ensure a hitch-free and transparent process, devoid of malpractices.
