 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 2023 Is Right Time For South East Presidency- Umeh



The Immediate past Senator that represented Anambra Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Chief Victor Umeh says 2023 is the right time for South East presidency, following the principles of rotation of power in Nigeria.

Senator Umeh said this during an interview with Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS at his hometown, Aguluzoigbo in Anaocha Local Government Area.

The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Senator Umeh, maintained that 2023 is a year that the south eastern part of Nigerian should produce the president of the country in the interest of a united nation, and justice. 

He disclosed that South Easterners have highly qualified, and competitive people that can provide leadership to Nigeria adding that the Igbo are capable of managing and reengineering the economy of Nigeria.

The senator who pointed that one of the problems of Nigeria is bad leaders and management of the economy, described Igbo people as wealth creators and managers of resources, hence need to be given the chance. 

Senator Umeh outlined many challenges bedeviling the nation, including distrusts, agitations, insecurity and other myriads of problems including high cost of living and educational collapse.

He added that the Igbo have been marginalized in all sectors of the nation which have continued to weigh them down in national affairs.

The former Lawmaker pointed to former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi and others in the South East as people who have the capacity to turnaround the economy from a consumption economy to production economy and as well revolutioniz activities of the government.
