 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Update: NSIB, NCAA Begin Investigation Into Aircraft Incident 

Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) says, investigation has commenced into the  incident involving a B737-400 with Nationality and Registration Marks 5N-MBD operated by Max Air.

The aircraft, with 144 passengers and Six crew members onboard was en-route Abuja from Yola when it had a tyre burst while landing on the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Nigeria.

According to a statement by spokesman for the NSIB, Tunji Oketunbi says, first responders arrived at the accident site and evacuated the passengers, adding that there was no injury or fatalities.

As investigation commences, the NSIB, solicit information from the general public in form of pictures, video or recording evidences to help assist in conducting a comprehensive investigation. 

In a related development, the Director General, Civil Aviation, Captain Musa Nuhu has assured the traveling public that, the authority and other aviation agencies would spare no efforts to ensure the continued safe flight operations in Nigeria as it has done over the years.

He however frowned on the sensational media reports of the incident, classifying it as a crash landing thus creating panic and concerns amongst the traveling public. 

Captain Nuhu, urged the media to always seek clarifications and information to make accurate reports on any situation.
