 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  ‘You fell for the bait’ – Aisha Yesufu blasts DSS over Sowore’s arrest


Socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu has knocked the Department of State Services, DSS over the arrest of the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore.

DAILY POST reported earlier that Sowore, one of the organizers of the EndBadGovernance protests, was picked up by operatives of the secret police in Lagos on Sunday.

He was arrested upon his return to Nigeria from the United States, however, he confirmed his release in a post on X.

Reacting to the arrest, Aisha in a post on her official X handle, said the secret police are shameless and unintelligent.

She wrote, “DSS/SSS is not only shameless but unintelligent. They fell for the bait! Kai!

“No wonder terrorists are using them to chew gum”.
