 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Trump's Envoy Steve Witkoff Meets Putin in Moscow Amid Ukraine Peace Efforts


Steve Witkoff, U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Friday during what Trump has described as a pivotal moment in efforts to end the war in Ukraine.


WITKOFF has become Washington’s primary channel for communication with Putin as Trump works to broker a peace agreement, having already held three extensive meetings with the Russian leader.


Putin was joined by his foreign policy adviser, Yuri Ushakov, and investment envoy Kirill Dmitriev.


This visit comes just a day after Trump condemned a Russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv that left at least 12 dead, urging on social media: "Vladimir, STOP!"


Despite the attack, Trump stated that substantial progress had been made in peace negotiations.


“These next few days will be crucial. Talks are ongoing, and I believe we’re very close to reaching an agreement,” Trump remarked.
