A young lady identified as Juliet, an Igede native from Ahuye, Akunda Ito in Benue State, has reportedly lost her life after being brutally attacked by suspected agberos at United Estate, Sangotedo–Ajah, Lagos.

The heartbreaking incident, which allegedly occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, has sparked outrage on social media and within the Igede community. Witnesses said Juliet’s body was taken to a morgue near Doreen Specialist Hospital, Thomas Estate, as police investigations get underway.

Reports indicate that some suspects have been arrested and detained at Ogombo Police Station, but community members are demanding transparency and swift justice.

In a statement, community leader John Enyi Ona called for a peaceful protest on Wednesday, urging all Igede indigenes in the Ajah/Lekki area to unite in demanding accountability.

“Let’s not keep quiet while evil thrives. Today it’s Juliet; tomorrow it could be another innocent soul. Let’s rise for justice,” he said.
