Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply. Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, in Abuja. He was accompanied by the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu.


During the meeting, Governor Uzodimma and his delegation held strategic discussions with the CBN Governor on strengthening collaborative frameworks aimed at enhancing the welfare of Nigerians. The engagement focused on ongoing economic programmes and explored additional areas for cooperation between state governments and the apex bank.


Governor Uzodimma emphasized the importance of sustained partnerships in promoting economic stability, long-term national development, and policies that advance growth across the federation. The leaders expressed commitment to deepening cooperation to ensure that current and future initiatives continue to yield positive outcomes for citizens.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
