Senate President Godswill Akpabio has appealed to the people of the South East to sustain peace and prevent their youth from engaging in armed struggle against the Federal Government. Akpabio made the plea on Saturday during the funeral of Sir Albert Ikechukwu Nnamani, former Administrative Secretary of the defunct Oil Mineral Producing Area Development Commission (OMPADEC), held in Ikem, Enugu State. In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, Akpabio emphasised that development can only thrive in a peaceful atmosphere and urged Ndigbo to properly mentor the younger generation. “For Ndigbo, I want to plead with you to continue to maintain the peace and watch the youth of today. They don’t understand politics. They don’t understand development. You can only have development in an area of peace,” Akpabio said.  Rachel Zoe admits Mauricio Umansky is 'living a very different life' after divorcing Kyle Richards


During the April 30 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Rachel Zoe offered her perspective on Mauricio Umansky’s transition into single life. 


She noted that he is “living a very different life,” while Kyle Richards admitted feeling unsettled watching her estranged husband act like a single man at a party in Aspen. 


Kyle, who was married to Mauricio for three decades, said the experience was difficult, as it highlighted the shifting nature of their relationship since their separation.


Rachel supported Kyle’s account, describing the party atmosphere as “awful” and acknowledging the challenges of witnessing Mauricio’s new social behavior. 


Although Kyle and Mauricio announced their separation in July 2023, they have yet to file for divorce, though Kyle admitted they have discussed the possibility. 


She expressed concern about how divorce would alter her life, calling the prospect “scary.” 


Rachel added that she frequently sees Mauricio out and about, emphasizing how active he has become in his single lifestyle.


The reunion also touched on Rachel’s own personal struggles, including her divorce from Rodger Berman, announced in September 2024. 


Earlier in the season, she revealed that friends had tried to set her up with Mauricio, though she declined out of loyalty to Kyle. 


Rachel candidly shared that she endured “really bad things” over the summer, which resonated with viewers and added depth to her role on the show. 


As the season continues, fans are left to consider how these evolving relationships will reshape the dynamics among the cast.
