The newly confirmed Anambra State Commissioner for Housing Arc. Henry Arize, has assured Ndi Anambra of his commitment to advancing affordable housing, urban renewal, and sustainable physical development across the state in line with the Solution Agenda of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Speaking with journalists shortly after his confirmation today May 14, Arc. Arize expressed profound gratitude to Governor Soludo for finding him worthy to serve in the administration, describing the appointment as a call to greater responsibility and selfless service to the people.
He also commended the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and members of the Assembly for the confidence reposed in him through the confirmation process.
The commissioner noted that housing remains a critical component of social and economic development, stressing that his ministry would prioritize policies and programmes aimed at providing decent, accessible, and modern housing infrastructure for residents of the state.
According to him, the ministry under his watch would focus on urban renewal initiatives, proper physical planning, strategic collaboration with private investors, and the development of smart and livable communities capable of meeting the growing demands of the population.
Arc Arize assured Ndi Anambra of transparency, innovation, dedication, and teamwork in the discharge of his duties, while pledging to maintain an open-door policy that would encourage constructive engagement with stakeholders, professionals, developers, and community leaders.
The commissioner further emphasized the importance of the media in promoting accountability and public enlightenment, assuring journalists of a cordial working relationship built on professionalism and mutual respect.
He expressed optimism that through collective efforts, Anambra State would emerge as a model for organized and sustainable housing development in Nigeria.
