 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Parton previewed the park’s 41st season, highlighting the upcoming NightFlight Expedition ride, a new “Run Dollywood” race weekend, an updated ...

Foreign Scholarship: First set of the 233 Yobe Youths sponsored by Gov. Mai Mala Buni to study medical & engineering courses at Indian Universities graduated. 


.... The first set graduated from Integral University,  Lucknow, India. 


Recall that in 2020, the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni sponsored about 233 Young people selected across 17 local governments of Yobe to study various medical and engineering courses across various Universities in India.


The breakdown of their courses of study is as follows: 


- 12 beneficiaries - petroleum engineering,

- 12 beneficiaries ~ Civil engineering,

- 20 beneficiaries ~ Radiography,

- 41 beneficiaries ~ Pharmacy,

- 3 beneficiaries ~ gynaecology 

- 17 beneficiaries ~ Lab Science,

- 14 beneficiaries ~ computer sci,

- 5 beneficiaries ~ Electric engineering,

-  83 beneficiaries ~ degrees in nursing all of whom will undergo additional trainings in fields such as Anasthesia, renal dialysis, cardiac care etc.


The Recovery Through Education and Scholarships (#RETES), is Governor Mai Mala #Buni's project aimed at sponsoring and training young men and women to fill critical workforce needs and foster development in our communities.
