The pilgrims were aboard Flynas flight XY9492, which departed Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and landed safely at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, at 7:37 p.m. Nigerian time. Prof. Kabir Paramole, Chairman of the Dawah and Enlightenment Committee, who led other officials on the first flight, expressed delight over the safe return.  NCAA CONFIRMS AIRCRAFT INCIDENT IN ASABA; FROWNS AT ITS RE-TAKE OFF WITHOUT PERMITS The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) confirms a private aircraft incident near Asaba, Delta State, on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. According to NCAA Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Michael Achimugu, the aircraft missed its approach at about 07:43 local time and landed on a roadway in Ogwashi-Uku, near Asaba. NCAA added, all four crew members exited safely with no injuries reported. Preliminary findings show the aircraft later departed the site at approximately 11:02 GMT for Lagos without regulatory approval. Air Traffic Control was notified only after takeoff.  Ebola testing suspended in three Congo labs following supply shortages- WHO Three laboratories in Democratic Republic of Congo have run out of supplies to test for Ebola, the World Health Organization said, as the outbreak of the dangerous Bundibugyo species of the virus continues to grow. The agency said laboratories in Bukavu and Lwiro in South Kivu province, and Goma in North Kivu, had run out of stock. It said that the labs were awaiting the arrival of reagents - substances required to run the tests - to resume work on backlogged samples. There have been almost 600 confirmed cases in the Ebola outbreak and more than 115 deaths, the Congolese government announced on Tuesday evening. There have also been 19 cases and two deaths in neighbouring Uganda linked to the epidemic, which the WHO has declared an international public health emergency. The outbreak continues to spread and has now affected 25 health zones in the provinces of Ituri, North Kivu and South Kivu.

 A fun summer day at the beach turned tragic when a large tree came down on a group of children, leaving a 13-year-old girl on life support and injuring several others.  Sadly, the Weber County Sheriff's Office has said that the 13-year-old girl is not expected to make it.  It was a perfect summer day at Pineveiw Reservoir in Weber County, Utah, on Saturday, June 6th.  Everyone on Quist Beach was enjoying a fun Saturday, away from their worries, when a sudden wind gust and a large decaying tree changed everything.  A loud crash was heard by beach goers which was followed by cries of distress.   The wind gust had brought down a large tree without warning. He notes that addressing the challenges facing Nigeria’s electricity industry requires collective effort, innovation, and accountability from all institutions under the Ministry. The situation comes amid growing tensions and concerns around foreign nationals in parts of South Africa.  Eight killed, several missing in Central African Republic landslide At least eight artisanal gold miners were killed in a landslide at a mining site in the western Central African Republic, according to local authorities. The accident occurred at the Konyeme mining site in the Nana-Mambere prefecture, Laurent Ngon Baba, a member of parliament for Baboua 1, where the mining site is located, told reporters. “The accident occurred at around 2 am local time (0100 GMT) when several miners were underground. The site was still under development,” he said, Anadolu Agency reported. “The earth collapsed suddenly, burying diggers under the rubble. Search and rescue operations were launched, which made it possible to recover eight bodies, and the search continues for several people still missing.” Fatalities identified Baba said the victims included a local resident and seven suspected Fulani foreign nationals.
