 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Northern Sociopolitical Group Called for Thorough Investigation to Kaduna Bomb Attack

The Northern Coalition of sociopolitical Groups has called for thorough investigation into the bomb attack that led to the killing of more than One Hundred civilians and urged Nigerians to stop given Religious or Ethnic Coloration to the incident.

Deputy National President of the Group Alhaji Balarebe Lawal Zaria made the call while briefing newsman on the ongoing investigation about the incident which occurred in Tudun Biri Village Kaduna State.

Alhaji Balarabe Lawal Zaria stated that it was too early for any one to start pointing accusing when investigations about the circumstances surrounding the bombing were still ongoing. 

According to him, the call from some quarters demanding the sack of service chiefs was unnecessary and could sparked up tension while what Nigeria wants now is peace and tranquility.

"The group and few other people who have embarked on campaign of calumny should please stop pointing accusations at the chief of Defence, we therefore calling the good people of Kaduna and Nigeria in general to avoid bringing up the issue of religious, ethnicity and sentiment"

Alhaji Balarabe therefore urged Federal government and international communities to assist members of the community, especially victims’ families to cushion the effect of the bomb attack.

 While commiserating with the Kaduna state government the Muslim Ummah and families of victims, the coalition called on the Military to review its rules of engagement to avoid the recurrence of an airstrike on cicivilians.
