 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.  Inferno Claims Family Of Seven In Kano


A late night fire, has led to the death of seven family members, while one sustained various degree of injuries at Tudun wada quarters, Nasarawa local government area, Kano.


 Executive Secretary, Kano state emergency management agency (SEMA),Alhaji Isiyaku Abdullahi Kubarachi confirmed the incident to Radio Nigeria in Kano.


According to him, the midnight  fire was triggered by electric fault, which led to the death of Malam Shu'aibu and his family.


He stressed that, the fire started from the living room, where the family moved to the inner room, and all efforts by neighbors to rescue them, proved abortive as they were suffocated by smoke.


Alhaji Isiyaku pointed out that, the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), had visited the scene, and had directed it's staff to compile a comprehensive  report, for onward submission to the state government for necessary action. 


The Executive Secretary, urged relatives of the deceased to consider the tragedy as the will of God and prayed for the repose of their souls. 


He charged residents to handle fire and electric appliances with care to avoid inferno.
