 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  LAGOS FIXES NOVEMBER 6 FOR Y2024 BECE RESIT EXAM



The Lagos State Government has fixed Wednesday, 6th November, 2024, as the date for the conduct of the Resit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).


This was contained in a statement signed by the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, requesting the affected schools to commence the registration of their students who failed English Studies or Mathematics or both with the sum of #3,000.00 (Three Thousand Naira) only per candidate via the Lagos State Examinations Board's Portal: https://pay.examboard.com.ng with the Username and Password generated while following the guidelines outlined on the portal.


The Director urged the authorities of the affected schools to treat the matter as urgent, reiterating that no excuses for failure to register their students for the examination would be accepted from anyone after the conduct of the Resit Examination. 


Mr. Orunsolu added that the examination would be conducted at the selected designated centres across the Six Education Districts of the State.


He assured that the Board would give prompt attention to authorities of the concerned schools to ensure that no candidate is left behind and unattended to.


He, therefore, solicited the cooperation of all stakeholders to achieve success in the conduct of the resit examination.
