 BADAGRY ANGELS WIN LAGOS SOFTBALL TOURNEY  Badagry Angels have been crowned champions of the Lagos U-15 Softball Championship held recently at the Badagry Grammar School playing field, Badagry. The five-day tournament, which began on November 11, 2024, ended on Friday, November 15 where eight teams participated in the competition designed to drive the growth of the sport at the grassroots level. As Champions of the tournament, Badagry Angels showcased their dexterity and skills against Rak Angels in the grand finale, maintaining their good position and dominance on the field before finally trouncing their opponents 9 runs to 1.  US election: ‘God stopped the witch, granted Trump victory’ – Fani-Kayode


Amid the ongoing election in the United States of America, former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode said God has stopped the witch and granted former President Donald Trump victory.

Fani-Kayode said there is nothing ‘they’ did not do to stop Trump, including trying to jail and kill him but the Lord was with him.

He made the assertion in a post on his X handle on Wednesday.

The statement comes as Trump is on course to win battleground States after he won Georgia and North Carolina.

Fani-Kayode suggested that Trump is on course to win because God is with him.

He posted: “The Lord stopped the witch & granted @realDonaldTrump victory.

“This is the greatest comeback in the history of politics. There is nothing they did not do to stop him including trying to jail & kill him but the Lord was with Him.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! He is faithful, He is true! Glory be to His holy name. Congrats to @realDonaldTrump!”

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
