 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Retired General Williams: Nigeria’s Security Problems Can Be Solved in Six Months


Retired General Ishola Williams, the former Chief of Defence Training and Planning, is hopeful that Nigeria can address its numerous security challenges.


Ishola stated on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily program on Friday that the issue of insecurity could be resolved within six months.


"We can resolve the security issue within six months," he claimed.


Reports have emerged of bandit attacks occurring in various parts of the country. The most recent incident involved an assault on a mosque in Katsina State, resulting in the deaths of over 30 worshippers.


Conflicts over land and other resources have been associated with banditry.


Armed gangs have transformed cattle theft, kidnapping, and the imposition of taxes on farmers into lucrative enterprises throughout the impoverished rural areas. Residents report that government presence in these regions has been insufficient.
