 Corey Feldman hospitalized after mid-flight medical emergency at LAX  Actor Corey Feldman was hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency during a flight and being taken directly from Los Angeles International Airport to a hospital, according to his publicist. The 54-year-old actor reportedly became ill while traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles on Monday. A doctor on board evaluated him during the flight before he was met upon arrival and transported for further treatment. He remained in the hospital overnight for observation. Early speculation suggested the issue could be related to gallstones, but his publicist said that possibility was ruled out by medical staff. Feldman was still undergoing evaluation and awaiting MRI results as of Tuesday morning. JAMB Releases 2023 UTME results  May 2, 2023 ..provides Result checking procedures The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted last Monday and Tuesday. The Head, of Public Affairs and Protocol, JAMB, Fabian Benjamin disclosed this in a statement Tuesday evening. The Board revealed that a total of 1, 595, 779 candidates registered for the examination in 708 CBT centres in 105 examination towns in the country. It said that the released results excluded candidates who have been rescheduled to take their examination on Saturday April 6, those absent during the examination; candidates whose results are under investigation, as well as those of visually impaired candidates, which are undergoing processing. EFCC Arrests 18 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Enugu Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Monday, May 1, 2023, arrested eighteen suspected internet fraudsters in different locations within Enugu. The suspects include one Chigozie Philips, founder of Holy Family School Abakpa, Enugu, where he allegedly trains prospective cybercriminals. Thirteen of his proteges who were arrested in the sting operation are Kingsley Okorie, Henry Chidiebere, Elochukwu Chukwuemeka Micheal, Nelson Nnaji, Joacin Kelvin, Kelechi Ibe, Chinonso James, Udeh Isaiah and Micheal Chukwuemeka. Others include Ifeanyi Ozor Bright, Etuma John, Okafor Chukwuemeka, Raymond Chinaza, Desmond James, Ozoma Chinonso Anthony, Uchenna Aka and Ozor Celestine. Items recovered from the suspects include 20 mobile phones and 2 laptops. The suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded. Zaura’s Application Stall $1.3m Fraud Trial The trial of Abdulsalam Saleh Abdulkarim also known as AA Zaura before Justice Mohammed Nasir Yunusa of the Federal High Court could not go on today, May 2, due to an application filed by the defendant asking for a stay of  proceedings. Zaura was arraigned by the EFCC on March 1, 2023 for allegedly defrauding a Kuwaiti citizen to the tune of $1,320,000 (One Million Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand Dollars) under the guise that he was into real estate business in Dubai and other countries. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. The matter was subsequently adjourned to today for the commencement of trial. But while the case was pending, Zaura filed an application for stay of proceedings and served the prosecution, which responded with a counter affidavit, that by virtue of section 360 of Administration of Criminal Justice Act, ACJA and section 40 of the EFCC Act, the court cannot entertain a no stay of proceedings in criminal trial.  Uganda  Minister Shot Dead by BodyGuard Uganda's Minister of State for Labour, Employment & Industrial Relations, Col. (Rtd) Charles Okello Engola, has been shot d€ad by his body guard in a Kampala suburb.   Retired Colonel Charles Okello Engola, who was the deputy minister for gender and labour, was shot at his home on Tuesday morning, May 2.   Police Spokesperson, Fred Enaga, said Engola was shot at close range at his residence in Kyanja while entering his vehicle to go to work. Police have identified the bodyguard as Private Wilson Sabiti.  Enaga disclosed that after Sabiti fired several shots at close range, k!lling Engola instantly, he fled from the scene up to the trading center at Kyanja, Ring Road where he entered a salon and also shot himself d€ad. The police is yet to establish the motive of the shooting.
