The Federal Ministry of Education on Tuesday announced the suspension of accreditation of degree certificates from Benin Republic and Togo. According to a statement on Tuesday signed by Augustina Obilor-Duru on behalf of the Director Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, the government lamented that “some Nigerians deploy nefarious means and unconscionable methods to get a Degree with the end objective of getting graduate job opportunities for which they are not qualified”. Boko Haram Kills 12, Abducts 1 In Borno  Suspected Boko Haram terrorists in military uniform have killed 12 persons and abducted one in Gatamarwa and Tsiha communities in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State. The latest attack came barely two weeks after the insurgents perpetrated a similar attack in Chibok, where they killed two persons and looted food stuff in some houses before settling them ablaze. The Police Public Relations officer, Borno State command, ASP Nahum Daso Kenneth, confirmed the attack saying 12 corpses were recovered. “The gunmen shot sporadically at the people in the two communities. So far, 12 corpses were recovered and two were injured,” he said. He said the police commissioner and other security heads had ordered discreet investigation into the matter to bring the perpetrators to book.  Plateau killings similar to Rwanda genocide – N’Central govs Governors in the six North-Central states on Tuesday lamented the attacks and killings in Plateau State by gunmen, calling on the Federal Government to do everything possible to get to its roots and find a permanent solution. The Chairman of the North Central Governors Forum and Governor of Nassarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, said the Plateau killings should not be tagged herder-farmer clashes. Rather, he said what is happening in Plateau is similar to what happened in Rwanda. The 1994 Rwanda genocide led to the killing of about 800,000  members of the Tutsi minority ethnic group.  Armed robbers kill CBN staff, three others inside Abuja supermarket Suspected dare devil men of the underworld on Tuesday evening struck at the popular Abdullahi Supermarket in One Man Village, near Mararaba, killing four customers, including a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. The CBN staff identified through his identity card as Daniel Adefemi Okunade was shot in the head and died immediately. Three others gruesomely murdered along with him could not be identified as of the time of this report. An eyewitness account said that the robbery operation lasted less than two minutes during which the CBN staff, who is said to be the choir master of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) also in One Man Village, was gunned down. He was said to have had a stop over at the Supermarket to buy bread for his family when the robbers found their way into the ever busy store and took lives out of the four customers.
