 Ethiopia landslide claims 11 more lives A landslide claimed the lives of at least 11 people in southern Ethiopia on Monday, not far from the site of a similar disaster last month, the local authority said, AFP reported. Eleven bodies have been found in the Kawo Koisha district of the Wolaita administrative zone, and search and rescue operations are under way, the Wolaita Zone Government Communication Affairs Department said in a statement on Facebook. It warned that the death toll was likely to rise. The area lies to the northeast of the tiny locality of Kencho Shacha Gozdi, also in South Ethiopia regional state, which was hit by mudslides on July 21-22 that killed more than 250 people and affected several thousand more. A series of landslides have occurred in southern Ethiopia recently as a result of heavy seasonal rains.  TĂ¼rkiye to join South Africa's genocide case against Israel in ICJ Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Ankara would submit a request on Wednesday to join the genocide case filed by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague. Fidan made the remarks during a televised joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty in Egypt's capital Cairo. He stressed that the Middle East region could not bear more tensions, adding that his country has previously warned that supporting Israel, either through weapons or silence, would harm the region. Fidan noted that the Israeli escalation in Gaza led to the current tension in the region, adding that Israel represents a major threat to the region and urging an end to its "brutality" in Gaza.   Chris Uba, Nigerian Politician, Physically Assaults Artisan Who Demanded Payment For Completed Work In London Home  video has surfaced showing Chris Uba, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party figure from Anambra State, physically assaulting an artisan who "completed a job at his London residence but was not paid".  Although the details of the job and agreement are unclear, the 36-second video obtained by SaharaReporters on Monday evening shows a man, a foreign national, requesting payment for the work done.    In response, Uba, formerly a political heavyweight in Anambra State, is seen ordering the workers to "Leave my house, I am not owing you.  Venezuela launches probe against opposition leaders Gonzalez, Machado Opposition leader and presidential candidate face an investigation over their appeal to the army and the police ‘to take the side of the people’.. A criminal investigation has been launched in Venezuela against the opposition’s presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia and its leader Maria Corina Machado for announcing an election winner other than President Nicolas Maduro and allegedly instigating disobedience and insurrection.. Attorney General Tarek William Saab announced the probe on Monday after a written appeal the two opposition members sent hours earlier to the army and the police about Maduro and the demonstrators who have come out in force to defend their votes in the July 28 election..

 Man who allegedly k!ļļ-ed his ex-girlfriend nabbed in Lagos bar A man identified as Fatai Mogaji, has been caught after he allegedly k!lled his ex-girlfriend, Opeyemi, in Lagos.  LIB reported that the suspect has been on the run after he allegedly st@bbed the deceased multiple times. According to the sister of the deceased, Opeyemi reunited with Mogaji, on July 10, 2024, at a club in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state and they went to chill together.  At about 5am, they got into an argument and Mogaji allegedly st@bbed Opeyemi 22 times in different parts of her body.
