 HAJJ 2026: 1600 LAGOS PILGRIMS ARRIVE SAFELY FROM MAKKAH The 1,600 Lagos pilgrims who participated in the just-concluded Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have all arrived safely to join their respective families. The safe arrival of the last and final batch of 187 pilgrims on Saturday marked the conclusion of the 2026 Hajj operations. Speaking to journalists at the tarmac of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, the Amir-ul-Hajj and State Commissioner of Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode said that the spiritual exercise was a success for Lagos State. The Commissioner who attributed the success to the exemplary conduct of the pilgrims while in the Holy Land maintained that the State also made adequate arrangements by engaging critical stakeholders ahead of the journey. Governor Simon Lalong has again consoled the family of Late Flight Lt. Henry Bitrus Piyo describing his tragic demise as a great loss to the Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.
Governor Lalong met with the parents of deceased flight lieutenant shortly after returning from the Northern Governors Forum meeting in Kaduna and asked the family to accept the untimely death of their son as the will of God.
Lalong who had earlier sent a team to condole the family said the memory of the heroic pilot will continue to be honoured as he died in active service and for the security and peace of the nation.
The Governor was accompanied by his Kwara State counterpart Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak and Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Prof. Danladi Abok Atu.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
