 HAJJ 2026: 1600 LAGOS PILGRIMS ARRIVE SAFELY FROM MAKKAH The 1,600 Lagos pilgrims who participated in the just-concluded Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have all arrived safely to join their respective families. The safe arrival of the last and final batch of 187 pilgrims on Saturday marked the conclusion of the 2026 Hajj operations. Speaking to journalists at the tarmac of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, the Amir-ul-Hajj and State Commissioner of Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode said that the spiritual exercise was a success for Lagos State. The Commissioner who attributed the success to the exemplary conduct of the pilgrims while in the Holy Land maintained that the State also made adequate arrangements by engaging critical stakeholders ahead of the journey.  GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI INAUGURATES THE ELECTED 17 LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN (MAYORS) AND THEIR DEPUTIES. 


The Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti inaugurated the Newly Elected Executive Chairmen (Mayor) of the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State and their Deputies at the Banquet Hall of Abia State Government House. Governor Otti was joined by his Wife and the First Lady of the State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Priscilla Otti. 


The Oath of Office and Allegiance was administered by the State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Paul Ogubunka Esq.


The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by the Secretary-General of Ohanaze Ndi Igbo, Amb. Okey Emuchay (MFR), the second Deputy chairman of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM. Eze Nelson Nmerengwa, Member Representing Isialangwa North-South Federal Constituency, Members of Abia State House of Assembly led by the Deputy Speaker, all members of the State Executive Council, High Profile Government Appointees and Bar. Ken Ahia (SAN).

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
