 HAJJ 2026: 1600 LAGOS PILGRIMS ARRIVE SAFELY FROM MAKKAH The 1,600 Lagos pilgrims who participated in the just-concluded Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have all arrived safely to join their respective families. The safe arrival of the last and final batch of 187 pilgrims on Saturday marked the conclusion of the 2026 Hajj operations. Speaking to journalists at the tarmac of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, the Amir-ul-Hajj and State Commissioner of Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode said that the spiritual exercise was a success for Lagos State. The Commissioner who attributed the success to the exemplary conduct of the pilgrims while in the Holy Land maintained that the State also made adequate arrangements by engaging critical stakeholders ahead of the journey. Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya has opened up on her crashed marriage to Saheed Olarewaju better known as Jago


In an interview with her colleague, Bimpe Akintunde, she revealed how a friend of hers told her husband that she was promiscuous and had left his house to sleep with a senator with their daughter. She disclosed that when she left her husband’s house, she only had N10,000 in her account and had to go squat with her brother.


Ronke stated that her ex later realized that he shouldn’t have listened to the things he heard back then.

A friend of mine told him that I wanted to leave him and go into prostitution. That when I left that night, I went to sleep in a Senator’s house with Fife. When he told me, my mouth was left open. Then I sent him a picture; God gave me grace; I didn’t know how I did it. I did a recording of the time and the date, were on my phone for the video. I recorded it when we got to where we would sleep. 


When we left, I didn’t have up to N10,000 in my account, but I decided this was it. I had nothing; all my jewelry was taken away, and I fainted with that. 


I was wondering where to start from. I cried so much that day because I didn’t have money to get an accommodation”.


Ronke Odusanya and her ex-husband were at loggerheads over the paternity of their child. On the 10th of February, 2021, Saheed stood before the Court and requested a DNA test of their daughter to determine her paternity before proceeding. The Court granted the order for a DNA test, but the actress, through her lawyer, gave a condition that Jago would pay the DNA fee


In February of 2022, in a video shared on his Instagram page, Saheed cleared the air about the paternity of their child, saying he was sorry for requesting a DNA test. Saheed said that their daughter was and expressed so much love for her, adding that what happened in the past made him take action
