 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  "Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen Hospitalized After Horseback Riding Incident"


Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen was hospitalized on Sunday after being thrown from a horse while riding with family. The incident occurred with a new horse, and although Pillen sustained injuries, his office did not provide specific details. He was initially taken to Columbus Community Hospital before being transferred to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha as a precautionary measure. Despite the injuries, the Governor is alert and in regular communication with his team, and his office indicated that he is expected to remain in the hospital for several days.


Governor Pillen's family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from Nebraskans, especially as they prepare for the holiday season. In a statement, his office thanked well-wishers for their thoughts and prayers, wishing all Nebraskans a Merry Christmas. The Governor's condition is being closely monitored, and further updates will be provided as necessary.
