A 5-YEAR-OLD ILLINOIS GIRL FOUND HYPOTHERMIC ON BUS AFTER DAYCARE NOT ONLY FORGOT HER, BUT REFUSED TO HELP LOCATE HER. (PHOTOS).

A 5-year-old Illinois girl found hypothermic on bus after daycare not only forgot her, but refused to help locate her.

When Caitlyn Gonzalez arrived at Kindercare in Arlington Heights, Illinois she was shocked when staff had no idea where her 5-year-old daughter, Dior, was located.

After checking records, the staff of Kindercare informed Caitlyn there was no record that Dior had been picked up from school that day. This sent Gonzalez into full scale panic and she began pleading with staff to call the police in an effort to locate her daughter. However, her pleas fell on deaf ears as staff adamantly refused to call the police.

At this point, Caitlyn could not wait around for the staff to decide to do something and frantically ran from the building to begin searching for Dior. That's when the answer to this mystery hit her like a ton of bricks.

Dior must still be on the bus.

Caitlyn ran to the bus used to transport the children to daycare and sure enough Dior was there. The poor 5-year-old girl was barely hanging on to consciousness after nearly 3 hours in the frigid temperatures on Tuesday, January 14th.

Caitlyn scooped up her daughter's limp body and rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was diagnosed as suffering from hypothermia.

Dior had fallen asleep on the bus and was overlooked by staff causing the young girl to be locked in the bus for almost 3 hours.

Caitlyn and Dior's father Wamui Mwiya are appalled by the daycare's lack of accountability regarding the incident stating, "If a parent left their child in the car, you know, and this happened, I would think they would be in jail."

The pair have pulled Dior out of Kindercare despite both working full time jobs.

KinderCare stated that their bus safety protocols were not followed. They assured the community that the staff member involved and the center director have been placed on administrative leave as a result of this incident.
