Tanzania closes Nduta camp housing thousands of Burundi refugees Tanzania has closed a camp housing thousands of Burundian refugees and repatriated all but a handful, activists and the United Nations said. Burundian refugees have complained in recent months of being forcibly evicted from the Nduta camp in northwestern Tanzania, following a deal between the governments in Dar Es Salaam and Bujumbura to repatriate around 100,000 of them by June. As of late 2025, there were an estimated 142,000 Burundian refugees housed in two Tanzanian camps - Nduta and Nyarugusu, according to the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR). "The approximately 3,000 refugees who remained in the (Nduta) camp were forcibly loaded onto vehicles to be sent back to Burundi on Thursday," the Coalition for Human Rights/Living in Refugee Camps (CDH/VICAR) said, AFP reported. A NATIVE AMERICAN GIRL WAS FOUND DISMEMBERED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SINCE FEBRUARY 14TH.(PHOTO).

A precious and talented 14-year-old Native American girl was tragically found dismembered on the side of the road on this Valentine's day, February 14th.

Deputies made a grisly discovery alongside U.S. 60 near The Jackson Butte Recreation area approximately 20 miles outside of Globe, Arizona on February 14th. Detectives sadly found the head and torso of a young female inside of a contractor bag... A short distance away... detectives found her legs in two separate contractor bags. The girls arms and hands have still not been recovered. The same arms and hands she used to create beautiful art.

Officials were distraught with the discovery. They quickly gathered DNA to have it tested as fast as possible. After the DNA testing, officials were able to confirm that the remains belonged to 14-year-old Emily Pike. Emily was from the San Carlos Apache Tribe and had been missing since she was last seen in Mesa, Arizona on January 27th. Emily had been living in a group home in Mesa. The group home manager reported her missing back in January, however Emily's mother says her daughter had unfortunately been missing for a full week before anyone notified her that her daughter was missing from the group home.

An autopsy revealed Emily had suffered significant head and face trauma.

With Emily's 15th birthday approaching her family is grappling to understand how and why this happened.

Emily's mother Steff Dosela said "My daughter, she was a very happy and kind person. She loves art. She loves to draw."

She added that Emily had already planned to go to college for art.

Steff stated that detectives have told her "they have three suspects" but have yet to disclose their names.

Although Emily's death has clearly been ruled a homicide her exact manner of death is still unknown.

If you or anyone you know may have any information regarding the tragic death of Emily Pike please call the Gila County Sheriff's Office at (928) 425-4449 or the San Carlos Apache Tribal Police at (928) 475-2311 .

Our thoughts are with the family of Emily Pike and the entire tribal community as they cope with this devastating loss. Rest in peace, Emily.
