 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion.  ELEVATING YOUTH LEADERSHIP THROUGH THE ONE-DAY GOVERNOR  INITIATIVE

The Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) played a pivotal role in the successful organization of the 20th edition of the One-Day Governor Programme, a flagship initiative that nurtures young leaders through academic excellence. Emerging from the Spelling Bee Competition, this initiative provides students with firsthand governance experience, equipping them with leadership skills and exposing them to policy making and Public Service at the highest level. The 2024 edition celebrated Master AbdulAzeez Abdulrahman of Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, as the One-Day Governor of Lagos State, on October 28, 2024. Alongside his fellow winners, he engaged in high-profile activities, including a pre-celebration dinner hosted by the First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and official engagements with the Lagos State Executive Council.This initiative remains a testament to Lagos State’s dedication to education, leadership development, and the future of its students.
