A 14-year-old Ohio girl has taken her own life, and her family believes that social media played a role. Szedi Roush sadly took her own life on Friday, June 12th. The loss of such a young and vibrant life has left the Blanchester, Ohio community shocked and filled with grief as they struggle to make sense of her passing.  Szedi was a student at Blanchester High School, where she was very active in sports and, by all outward appearances, a happy and outgoing teen. However, Szedi's family says there was a side to her kept hidden from her family. Despite being hidden from family, Szedi posted about her feelings  on TikTok. Her father says her most recent post described her feelings, and the method she intended to take her life, garnered over 40 reactions ranging from likes to hearts. They feel that is unacceptable and that Szedi's passing can help other youths reach out for help in the future.  Szedi's presence at school and at home will be greatly missed.  The fa...

2027: Dele Momodu hints at dumping PDP

Dele Momodu,  a renowned media mogul and publisher of Ovation International, has made a startling revelation about his disillusionment with the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), positing  that his commitment to the party has reduced drastically PM has learnt.

Momodu who spoke  during an interview on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) programme on Tuesday afternoon,   lamented the deepening internal crisis within the party.

Momodu said that the growing disunity and internal wrangling in PDP  have left the party vulnerable and ineffective as a strong opposition force.

“My soul has left the PDP; only my body remains,” Momodu said, painting a vivid picture of his current detachment from the party’s affairs.

He expressed concern that unless the PDP resolves its internal divisions and presents a united front, it stands little chance of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

“If the PDP were united, it could easily defeat the APC in 2027. But too many forces, both from within and outside, are working tirelessly to undermine its potential,” he said.

Momodu also criticized the strategic moves by the APC to weaken the opposition, citing the increasing number of defections from the PDP to the ruling party as a deliberate attempt to destabilize the nation’s democratic balance.

“The ruling party’s strategy is clear: they want to fragment and incapacitate the opposition, making it difficult for any meaningful resistance to emerge,” he added.

His remarks come at a time when the PDP is witnessing an exodus of members to the APC, raising further questions about the party’s ability to recover and reassert itself ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Observers believe that Momodu’s statement could signal a broader wave of discontent within the PDP, especially among key stakeholders frustrated by the lack of cohesion and vision in the party’s leadership.
