The distribution, which took place at the local council headquarters in Nzam, was conducted by Chairman, Hon. Fidelis Nnazor on behalf of the state government.

Equipment distributed included anti-shock garments, baby cots, fetoscopes, pulse oximeters, delivery sets, suction machines, hospital beds, drip stands, Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) tapes, ward screens, and other vital tools designed to improve diagnostic and treatment capabilities.

Speaking during the distribution, Hon. Nnazor emphasized the significance of accessible and quality healthcare for the people of Anambra West. He noted that this initiative reflects Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to ensuring that rural communities have access to quality healthcare.

“Our administration aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision for a healthier Anambra by ensuring our primary healthcare centres are well-equipped to serve our communities,”

“These medical supplies will enhance our health facilities, and improve service delivery" he added.

He praised Governor Soludo for his steadfast commitment to grassroots development, and explained that this distribution is part of recent efforts by his administration to revitalize the healthcare sector, which includes providing free antenatal care and delivery services across public health facilities in the state.

Mayor Nnazor, therefore, appealed to healthcare workers and community leaders to ensure proper use and maintenance of the equipment for the benefit of ndi Anambra West.

Mr. Aloysius Ofodile, the supervisor for Health, along with community leaders and healthcare workers expressed their gratitude for this intervention, recognizing its potential to transform healthcare delivery in rural area.
