The community around Singer Market in Kano was thrown into shock in the early hours of Monday, February 2, 2026, following a massive fire outbreak that engulfed several multi-storey buildings, destroying goods worth billions of naira.
The inferno though had been brought under control, commercial activities have picked up in sections of the market that were not affected by the fire.
