 Recording Academy adds five new Grammy categories, updates rules for 2026 awards NEW YORK - The Recording Academy is introducing five new categories and making several rule changes for the 2026 Grammy Awards in an effort to reflect the evolving global music landscape. Among the new additions is a best Asian pop music performance category, which will honor performances across genres such as K-pop, J-pop, C-pop and other Asian pop styles, with the award going to performers. A new best traditional pop vocal performance category will recognize artists whose work does not fit within modern pop styles. A best Latin song category will spotlight songwriters for Spanish-language Latin recordings. Changes are also coming to existing categories in R&B and folk music.  YELEWATA RESETTLEMENT: BENUE STATE GOVERNMENT BUILDS 60 NEW HOUSES, DISBURSES 56 MILLION NAIRA PALLIATIVES


The Benue State Governor ,Hyacinth Alia, is making significant strides in its recovery efforts for victims of the June 2025 Yelewata attacks with the administration combining immediate humanitarian support and a structured resettlement programme aimed at restoring stability, dignity, and livelihoods to affected families.


As part of its urgent relief measures, the state government has disbursed ₦56 million in direct cash aid to one thousand  verified households, providing ₦50,000 each to support families in meeting essential needs such as food, medicine, and small-scale trade.


It has also   deployed a specialized technical committee to verify beneficiaries and ensure accountability, guaranteeing that every naira reaches its intended recipients.


According to a statement by the Technical Adviser to the Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Solomon Iorpev ,the resettlement programme focuses on returning families to their ancestral lands, with 5,883 internally displaced persons (IDPs) enrolled in the Benue State Health Insurance Scheme just as new medical and sanitation facilities are under construction to improve public health 


To support the resettlement efforts, the administration is building 60 new two-bedroom homes and classroom blocks in Yelewata, replacing overcrowded camps with structured communities.


 So far, 53 out of the 60 have reached lintel level as these coordinated measures demonstrate Governor Alia's commitment to establishing Benue as a national benchmark for humane, data-driven resettlement and sustainable community recovery.


The statement says through these initiatives, the Benue State Government is working towards restoring stability, dignity, and livelihoods to affected families, and promoting a brighter future for the people of Yelewata and the state as a whole.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
