Saidi Balogun and Family Honor Late Daughter Zeenat's Posthumous Birthday in Emotional Tribute

Veteran Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun and his family have come together in a deeply emotional tribute to honor his late daughter, Zeenat Balogun, on the occasion of her posthumous birthday. In a moving video shared on social media, the family reflected on Zeenat’s vibrant spirit and the quiet, courageous battles she fought during her lifetime.

The emotional tribute, shared on Instagram by Saidi's son, Khalid, featured family members speaking warmly about Zeenat. They reminisced about her strength and the joy she brought to their lives despite her personal challenges. Khalid captioned the video with a poignant reminder: 'We only die when we are forgotten,' emphasizing that Zeenat's memory will forever remain alive in their hearts.

Shining a Light on Sickle Cell Anaemia

Beyond remembering Zeenat's life, the Balogun family used the occasion to raise crucial awareness about Sickle Cell Anaemia. By linking her posthumous birthday to World Sickle Cell Day, the family hopes to advocate for better education, support, and resources for those living with the genetic blood disorder. Zeenat's private struggle has now become a beacon of hope and awareness for others facing similar health challenges.

A Season of Mixed Emotions for the Balogun Family

This solemn remembrance comes shortly after a moment of pride and celebration for the veteran actor. Saidi Balogun recently celebrated his son, Jamal Balogun, who successfully graduated with a degree in Pharmacy from the School of Medicine, University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Reflecting on Jamal's academic journey, the actor expressed immense gratitude, noting that walking through the rigorous challenges of pharmacy school alongside his son was one of his greatest fatherhood joys. Despite the pain of losing Zeenat, the Balogun family continues to stand resilient, honoring her legacy through advocacy while celebrating the milestones of their surviving children.
