  Emmanuel Evans Oshiotu and his girlfriend, Amaka Okafor, were found dead few hours after he left a suicide note on Facebook. LIB reported that the two lovers were found dead in their apartment located at 2, Ojigbo Crescent, Off Sapele-Effurun road, at Uvwie in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, early Thursday morning, February 25. An insecticide, popularly called Sniper and a knife were found beside their bodies indicating a suicide pact or murder-suicide. Before his death, precisely at about 1:50am on Thursday, Emmanuel had put up a post on Facebook that suggested that he was planning to commit suicide. Their bodies were found at 5:am.   Governor Simon Lalong has again consoled the family of Late Flight Lt. Henry Bitrus Piyo describing his tragic demise as a great loss to the Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole. Governor Lalong met with the parents of deceased flight lieutenant shortly after returning from the Northern Governors Forum meeting in Kaduna and asked the family to accept the untimely death of their son as the will of God.   A british-Nigerian international human rights lawyer, Barrister Richie Ebuka Okoroafor, yesterday afternoon, Thursday, February 25, 2021 escaped assassination along Suleja-Bida Road in Niger State while on his way back to Abuja, the Nigerian capital. The Abia State-born Okoroafor broke the news to his human rights partners, the International Society for Civil Liberties & Rule of Law (Intersociety), and the Government of the United Kingdom on Thursday evening, after recovering from the shock arising from the assassination attempt.
