Man Flees After Allegedly Killing Pregnant Wife June 9, 2023 A bereaved father, Adun Samuel, has offered to pay N100,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of his son in-law who allegedly murdered his daughter. The alleged killer, identified as Inuaghata, is wanted for killing his wife, Osaretin. Mr. Adun, who spoke to journalists in Benin City, said his daughter has three children for the fleeing husband. Adun said he was called that his daughter had been killed by her husband. According to him, the son in-law fled and has been hiding since May 24 when he committed the offence. INEC Officials Tell PEPC Why Some Party Agents Were Denied Copies Of Results June 9, 2023 Hearing, on Friday, continued on the petition the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, filed to challenge the outcome of the 2023 election, as three officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, mounted the witness box. The trio, in their separate testimonies before the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, sitting in Abuja, said they were appointed as Ad-hoc staff members of the electoral body, for the purpose of the general elections. EFCC Arrests 56 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Port Harcourt Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested Fifty Six (56) suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. GROUP EXTOLS ROLE OF OPERATION SAFE HAVEN IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution has extolled the roles of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) in conflict management and resolution. The group made the remarks today 8 June 2023, during a courtesy visit to Headquarters OPSH in Jos.  Speaking during the visit, the Head of Zonal Office Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, Mr Adejo Haruna, expressed satisfaction with the early response mechanism recently  put in place by OPSH to checkmate crisis on the Plateau. He disclosed that the institute is a federal government lead agency established to engage in conflict resolution and peace-building in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Queen has taken a first-look at this year’s British Flowers Week exhibition at the Garden Museum, which champions British-grown flowers, sustainable floristry and the immense talent in floral design found across the country. Uniting florists, flower growers and flower lovers, British Flowers Week was founded by New Covent Garden Market. 🌻 The theme for this year’s exhibition at the Garden Museum in London is ‘New Beginnings’, inspired by fresh starts, new growth, and changing seasons. Joined by Alan Titchmarsh, Her Majesty met floral designers alongside volunteers from Floral Angels, a charity that arranges donated flowers for use in hospices, women’s refuges, and care homes over London. 💐 Flowers from Their Majesties’ Coronation were donated to the charity. WAEC ARRESTS 20 EXAM OFFICIALS FOR MALPRACTICE 20 school officials, allegedly aiding and abetting examination malpractice, have been arrested by the West African Examination Council (WAEC)  in its ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates. The Council said that the arrests were made in various parts of the country. The Head, National Office of the Council, Mr Patrick Areghan, disclosed this on the sidelines of a monitoring exercise he carried out in some schools on Thursday in Lagos. “For instance, in Ibadan, Oyo, where we have our zonal office, which takes care of Osun, Kwara and Oyo itself, we made three arrests in a school and for the purpose of confidentiality, I will not mention the name”, he said. “There, a supervisor at a centre, principal and invigilator were all arrested.
