 A Nigerian woman in the UK, 30-year-old Oluwabunmu Adeleiyi, has been convicted for working in NHS hospitals using fake identification despite having no medical training. Living in Cardiff on a student visa, she and two accomplices used shared fake IDs to secure shifts through agencies, fraudulently earning about £16,000 monthly.  She pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud by false representation and received a suspended two-year sentence of 10 months’ imprisonment on each count, alongside 100 hours of unpaid community service, after investigations revealed she accessed patient records and restricted areas, posing serious risks to patients.

 BLOODBATH IN TARABA AS OVER 70 FEARED KILLED, 35 CHURCHES VANDALISED IN TAKUM  Fresh violence has rocked Chanchanji Council Ward of Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, where no fewer than 70 persons are feared killed and about 35 churches reportedly vandalised in coordinated attacks on several communities. Sources within the area told newsmen that the attacks were carried out simultaneously, leaving scores of residents dead, homes razed and places of worship destroyed. The scale of the destruction has forced many locals to flee their homes, heightening tension in the affected communities. According to a list released by community leaders, those killed include men, women and a Christian cleric, while one resident was said to have been abducted during the assault.  SENATE MINORITY CAUCUS SAYS ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION NOT REJECTED IN PASSED ELECTORAL BILL The Senate Minority Caucus says electronic transmission of election results was not rejected by the senate during the clause by clause consideration of electoral act amendment bill as  reported by some sections of the media. The Senate on Wednesday passed the bill at plenary. Leading the minority Caucus to brief the media, Senator Enyinnnaya Abaribe explains that what section 60 sub 3 of the electoral act, states is "results from each polling unit will be transmitted to IREV portal in real time after the prescribed  form EC8 has been signed and stamped by presiding officer and countersigned by candidates or polling agents available at the polling unit. The Caucus assures Nigerians that it will also ensure that what was collectively agreed to during the clause by clause consideration is what is reflected in the votes and proceedings of the sitting of the electoral bill passage.

Speaking on World Cancer Day, February 4, Oreagba disclosed that exactly 12 years ago, on February 3, 2014, he went for a routine scan — not because he felt sick, but simply out of caution. A week later, the results came back with words he says he will never forget. He was diagnosed with stage one multiple myeloma, a cancer that attacks plasma cells in the bone marrow. At the time, there was no known family history of cancer, and his youngest child was just two years old. According to him, the news turned his world upside down, but he made a firm decision to fight.
