 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  The Pain Is Irreversible - Matthew Perry’s Stepmother Urges Judge to Hand ‘Ketamine Queen’ Maximum Sentence


Matthew Perry’s stepmother has made an emotional plea to the court, asking that the woman known as the “Ketamine Queen” receive the maximum prison sentence ahead of her sentencing.


In a victim impact statement submitted before the hearing, Debbie Perry, who is married to Matthew’s father, John Bennett Perry, spoke about the lasting pain the family has carried since the actor’s passing in 2023 at age 54.


She described the grief as something that has not eased with time.


“The pain you’ve caused to hundreds, maybe thousands, is irreversible,” she wrote. “There is no joy, no light in the window. They won’t be back. That thought comes through our day every day.”


Debbie went on to directly address Jasveen Sangha, questioning how someone with the ability to build a successful life could choose a path that caused so much hurt.


In the deeply personal statement, she said there has been “no escape” from the family’s sorrow and made a direct request to the judge to ensure Sangha cannot bring this kind of pain to others.


She closed by urging the court to impose the harshest possible sentence so that “she won’t be able to hurt other families like ours.”


Sangha, who previously pleaded guilty in the criminal case linked to Perry’s passing, has now publicly accepted responsibility for her role.


Speaking from jail, she said, “I take full responsibility for my actions and the role I played in the events that led to this tragedy. There are no excuses for what I did.”


She also expressed sorrow to Perry’s loved ones, acknowledging that their loss is permanent.


“I am deeply sorry for the pain I caused, especially to Matthew’s family. Their loss is unimaginable and permanent,” she said.


According to court filings, prosecutors are seeking a 15-year prison sentence, while Sangha could legally face a much longer term under the charges she pleaded guilty to.
