 A 15-year-old Ohio teen lost his life while trying to intervene when his dog attacked a friend. 15-year-old Josiah Harris was at his Akron, Ohio, home on Tuesday, June 30th, when his 14-year-old friend dropped by for a visit.  As Josiah's friend approached the house, Josiah's dog became aggressive and charged the visiting teen. The dog latched onto the 14-year-old visitor's arm during the attack. Josiah rushed to his friends aid. Unfortunately, Josiah's friend pulled a hand gun and began firing at the dog. The rounds not only struck the dog but also Josiah as he was trying to pull his dog off of his friend.  The 14-year-old ran from the home after both Josiah and the dog had been shot. He went to a nearby residence, and a 911 call was placed.  KADVS Arrests Mosque Generator Theft Suspect, Recovers 100kg Of Suspected Cannabis In Kaduna The Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS) has arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of a generator belonging to Kagoro Mosque in Sabon Gari, Tudun Wada, and recovered approximately 100 kilograms of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis during the operation. According to KADVS, the operation was led by the Kaduna South Sector Commander, Suleiman Buba, following the arrest of Uzaifa Isa, who is alleged to have stolen a Jiling generator from the mosque. The agency said the suspect cooperated with investigators and led operatives to the location where the stolen generator had been concealed. While attempting to recover the generator along Kagoro Road, KADVS operatives arrested another suspect, Musa Yusuf, a resident of Sayaya Road, Kinkinau, Tudun Wada.  Bandits Kill Traveller On Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road, Residents Raise Fresh Security Concerns Suspected bandits have reportedly killed one traveller and injured another during an attack along the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road. According to a resident of Birnin Gwari who spoke to SaharaReporters, the attack occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The assailants allegedly killed the victim, stole his motorcycle, and shot his brother, identified as Mallam Haruna, who was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Residents say armed bandits remain active along the highway, citing recent attacks, including the killing of a commercial driver said to be a grandson of a district head in the Birnin Gwari Emirate and the abduction of passengers travelling between Kaduna and Birnin Gwari.  Interpol Issues Red Notice for Woman Sought Over Monaco Bombing Interpol has issued a Red Notice for a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman wanted by Monaco authorities in connection with a bombing that injured Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev and two others. The international police organisation identified the suspect as Anastasiia Berezovska and published her photograph on its website on Friday. The notice states that Monaco is seeking her arrest on charges including attempted murder. According to Interpol, Berezovska was born in Ukraine, has dark hair, speaks German and has a tattoo, believed to be a snake, on her right arm between the shoulder and elbow. Monaco Prosecutor General Stéphane Thibault said the suspect is registered as living in Germany.  Court Grants Final Forfeiture of N150m linked to Nicholas Mutu to the Federal Government Justice J.O Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama Abuja on Thursday, June 2, 2026 granted the final forfeiture of the total sum of N150m ( One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) linked to a serving member of the Federal House of Representatives,  Nicholas Mutu to the Federal Government. The order was granted following an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC through her legal team led by Ekele Iheanacho, SAN. The application was brought pursuant to Section 44(2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 and Section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.
