 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  ‎NOCEN, UNN Admit Degree and NCE Students at 2026 Matriculation Ceremony

‎Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), in affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, held its 29th and 45th Matriculation Ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2026, formally admitting a new cohort of students. The ceremony marked a key academic milestone for both Degree and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) candidates as they were officially inducted into their respective programmes.

‎In his welcome address, the Provost of NOCEN, Prof. Ndirika, congratulated the matriculants and urged them to remain committed to their academic goals. He cautioned against involvement in cultism and other social vices, and encouraged the students to take full advantage of the institution’s learning resources and facilities.

‎

‎Representing the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof. G.C. Nji, Dean of the Faculty of Education, delivered a message congratulating the students and stressing the values of discipline, integrity, and dedication to academic excellence.

‎

‎For the degree students, Mrs. Nkem Mgbemene, representing the Registrar of UNN, administered the Oath of Allegiance. Their formal admission into the university was conducted by Prof. K.O. Usman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), who stood in for the Vice-Chancellor.

‎

‎Also,  the Acting Registrar of NOCEN, Mrs. Edith Nwoye, administered the Oath of Allegiance to the NCE students, after which the Provost formally admitted them into the college.

‎

‎The ceremony also featured cultural and artistic performances by the institution’s Music and Igbo Departments. Their renditions and traditional dance showcased the college’s rich cultural heritage and added vibrancy to the occasion.

‎

‎Meanwhile, the newly admitted students were formally integrated into the academic communities of both NOCEN and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The institutions conveyed their congratulations and expressed hope that the students would uphold discipline, demonstrate productivity, and achieve distinguished academic success throughout their studies.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
