JIMMY KIMMEL MOCKS TRUMP WITH LIST OF INSULTS AS HE ACCEPTS PEABODY AWARD. (PHOTO)

Jimmy Kimmel mocks Trump with list of insults as he accepts Peabody Award

Jimmy Kimmel accepted a Peabody Award for Jimmy Kimmel Live! on May 31, joking that he had “never felt dumber” standing alongside serious journalists and documentarians.

In his speech, Kimmel reflected on the right to satirize political leaders, noting that he had taken that freedom for granted until his temporary suspension in September 2025.

The suspension followed threats from FCC chair Brendan Carr and Nexstar’s decision to preempt episodes after Kimmel’s comments about the fallout of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

At the time, President Trump demanded ABC fire him, but Kimmel recalled how millions of viewers rallied in defense of free speech.

Kimmel said he was surprised by the public response, describing how people across the political spectrum spoke out, marched, and even canceled subscriptions to protest censorship.

He emphasized that the backlash sent a clear message: Americans care about protecting comedy, journalism, and dissent from being criminalized.

His remarks underscored the broader significance of satire in democracy, framing his award as a symbol of resilience against attempts to silence criticism.

True to form, Kimmel also used humor to punctuate his acceptance speech, reciting a list of mocking nicknames he had given President Trump, including “Fattyshack,” “Blob the Builder,” “Mar-a-Lardo,” and “Nostra-Dumbass.”

He joked that somehow these insults had earned him a prestigious award, quipping that “this country really has gone to s***.” He closed by thanking supporters, the Peabody jurors, and once again lampooning Trump with more nicknames, blending sharp political commentary with his trademark comedic style.
