 Peter Obi lies like fish drinking water –Festus Keyamo Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has accused the 2027 Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of deliberately fabricating claims regarding a recent airport incident. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ on Thursday night, July 30, Keyamo alleged that Obi lied about his experience at the airport to score political points. “That man was lying. He lies like a fish drinking water. He lies. He lies for fun,” Keyamo stated. The Minister noted that Obi had publicly complained of facing harassment from airport officials strictly due to his opposition status. LASBCA SEALS DISTRESSED BUILDING ON LAGOS ISLAND.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), on Sunday, sealed a four-storey building with visible signs of distress at 17, Obadina Street, Lagos Island. The General Manager of the Agency, Engr. Biola Kosegbe, stated that the Agency, acting on a tip-off from concerned citizens, sent a technical team to the location to ascertain the level of distress, revealing that the officials found out that the building exhibited clea r signs of internal distress, which was obvious from the exposed corroded reinforcement. Engr. Kosegbe added that upon discovery of the defective infrastructure, the building was promptly sealed for further assessment by a team of Structural Engineers from the Agency, while the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory will also conduct appropriate structural stability tests on concrete members in order to avert any mishap.       Determined to contribute its quota to the State Government's fight against the raging Coronavirus pandemic, the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board (LSTMB) has donated 500 facemasks to the Lagos State Government through its Medical Warehouse at Lekki on Monday. The Board Chairman, Prof. Adebukola Oshintelu, presented the facemasks to the Manager of the Medical Warehouse, Mr. Razak Olajide, explaining that the g esture is a demonstration of support to the State Government in its efforts to curtail community transmission of the deadly disease. It is true that Mrs. Faith Obinna registered as ante-natal patient of our Hospital; it is also  true that on Friday March 6, 2020 Mrs. Obinna, to the glory of God, was safely delivered of a baby boy through all elective C-section performed by our Hospital medical professionals. 160 NIGERIANS EVACUATED FROM USA ARRIVE IN ABUJA.[PHOTO].

      The first batch of Nigerians stranded in the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic has arrived in Abuja . 160 Nigerians , including eight infants, made the first batch of evacuees. They arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja , around 11. 05 am on Sunday. They returned aboard an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 787 aircraft under the special flight arrangements by the Federal Government for nationals strande d abroad. “ ET Flight 8509 conveying 160 Nigerian evacuees from the US has safely arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport , Abuja , ” Minister of Foreign Affairs , Geoffrey Onyeama, said while confirming their arrival . The plane departed the Newark International Airport, New Jersey, on Saturday around 8 :20 p. m . local time (1: 20 a .m . in Nigeria on Sunday). Onyeama added that on arrival , the evacuees would be quarantined for 14 days in Abuja before leaving for their respective destinations in the country .

       Ogun COVID-19 Update #6: 35 Total Discharged, Total Active Now 76 including 2 New Cases On Saturday, 9th May, 2020, Ogun State discharged 5 COVID-19 patients out of the earlier recorded 113 total confirmed cases in the State. The patients have since joined their families after they all tested negative to the virus twice, bringing the total number of discharged cases in the State to 35. The NCDC on the same day, Saturday announced 2 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the State. This brings to total, 115 confirmed cases. There are currently 76 active cases under observation and treatment in the Isolation Centres in the State. Contact of the 2 new confirmed patients are currently being traced. Everyone is urged to maintain measures recommended by international and local health authorities. Stay home. Stay safe.

       Two facilities in Badagry West Local Council Development Area of Lagos State have been shut down for contravening new guidelines issued by the government to operators of hotels, clubs and other entertainment outfits in the State. Speaking on the closure of Maggi Hotel, and Tambari Theatre Art (Night Club) both in Seme axis of Badagry, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and C ulture, Mr. Solomon Bonu, stated that the facilities were shut for violating and contravening the order of the State government.
