Insecurity: Nnobi Community Unveils New Security Outfit Nnobi community in Idemili South council area has  floated a security outfit geared towards checkmating the increasing wave of crime in the town.  The security outfit, among other things, will maintain strong relationship with security agencies in neighboring communities to ensure maximum maintenance of law and order and report their day to day activities to the Nigeria Police Force and the town union of the community.  The traditional ruler of Nnobi, Igwe Nick Obi, who unveiled the outfit, said there was need to keep the security of the community intact as it soon growing into a commercial hub.  Blackout looms as electricity workers join NLC’s proposed strike The National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) has directed its members to withdraw their services nationwide on Wednesday, June 7 and join the strike action proposed by the Nigerian Labour Congress NLC over the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal government. In a memo signed by its acting general secretary, Dominic Igwebike, the NUEE urged its members to comply with the directive and stop work from the early hours of Wednesday. ‘’All National, State and Chapter executives are requested to start the mobilisation of our members in total compliance with this directive.  Buhari’s Assets Didn’t Increase As President, Says Garba Shehu.  Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s assets did not increase during his eight-year administration, his former spokesman, Garba Shehu has said. In a post on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday, Shehu disclosed that the former President submitted his assets declaration forms to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in line with Chapter 6 of the constitution. “The CCB today issued an acknowledgement receipt,” Shehu said in the post which had the photo of the receipt. Woman's Car With Children Inside Catches Fire While She Was Shoplifting  A Florida woman identified as Alicia Moore, 24, has been arrested after her car caught fire with her children inside while she was shoplifting inside a mall in Oviedo. Moore was charged with aggravated child neglect and arson and remanded at the Orange County Jail, CNN reported on Sunday. According to the arrest report issued by the Oviedo Police Department, she parked her car in a Dillard’s parking lot around noon on May 26, leaving her two children in the car. A loss prevention personnel watched her after shopping for about an hour with a yet-to-be-identified man, she saw her car engulfed in flames, dropped the stolen merchandise, and ran out of the store. Vandalism and destruction of property in Adamawa state In a shocking incident in Adamawa State, a group of men/ thugs vandalized a campaign office donated by Adamu Garba II, a chieftain of the APC and CEO of IPI Group Limited, (a tech conglomerate) for the Tinubu-Shettima 2023 opolitical activities in Yola-North LGA.
