 Lebanese court grants bail to Gaddafi's son held for years A judge on Friday ordered the release on bail of Hannibal Gaddafi, son of deposed Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi, after nearly a decade of pre-trial detention in Lebanon, a judicial official said. Lebanese authorities arrested Gaddafi in 2015 and accused him of withholding information about the disappearance of Lebanese Shiite cleric Mussa Sadr in Libya in 1978. Gaddafi, now 49 according to his lawyer, was around two years old at the time of Sadr's disappearance.  Guinea-Bissau's main opposition left out of final electoral list Guinea-Bissau's main opposition coalition and its historical PAIGC party will not be on the ballot in November presidential and legislative elections, according to a final list of parties and candidates published by the Supreme Court, AFP reported. The West African nation's top court had already provisionally announced the ineligibilities, which are due to late applications. The country's main opposition leader, former Prime Pinister Domingos Simoes Pereira, had submitted his presidential candidacy under PAIGC too late, according to the Supreme Court, after first trying to enter the election under a coalition which was not correctly registered.  UN, US slap sanctions on Haiti gang leader and ex-security chief The United Nations and U.S. announced fresh sanctions on a former Haitian palace security chief and the leader of a downtown Port-au-Prince gang, as the U.N. Security Council voted unanimously to renew its sanctions regime, Reuters reported. The sanctions target Bel Air gang leader Kempes Sanon and Dimitri Herard, who headed palace security at the time of President Jovenel Moise's 2021 assassination and escaped prison during a mass jailbreak last year.  Chad reinstates ties with Prince Harry's conservation charity Chad has reinstated management agreements with African Parks, the conservation group whose board includes Britain's Prince Harry, and begun talks on new deals for joint management of ongoing projects, the environment ministry and the charity said. The move reverses last week's decision by the Central African country to break ties with the organisation. The two parties said they had engaged "in a spirit of dialogue and cooperation" and restored the agreements "with full effect" while both sides negotiate new partnership agreements for Zakouma National Park, the Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve, and the planned Aouk project.
