 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. OBASANJO WELCOMED BY GOV.AMAECHI IN PORT-HARCOURT.

                                           Once a president is always a president.One will think Obasanjo is still the current president of Nigeria but non the less,he is an ex.He was welcomed by Governor Amaechi,senators and members of the state executive council.Members of various communities where Obasanjo would commission projects line up the routes of the convoy,causing very heavy traffic.There was tight security as armed forces personnel and police were deployed all over.He first commissioned Chief G.U Ake road{Airforce link road}.Other projects to be commissioned include,Songhai Integrated farm at Bunu-Tai,Ogoni land,Afam power station in Afam,Buguma fish farm and about 300 primary and secondary school and health centres.Amaechi's administration had rejected the idea of commissioning projects,but has been forced to reverse that policy because he said the opposition has accused him of non performance.Obansanjo was invited to commission the projects because during the Port-Harcourt centenary celebration,president Goodluck Jonathan was invited but he didn't show up.
