Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. According to sources,today tuesday an accident involving two vehicle killed three petroleum smugglers who were roasted alive.The incident happened when two vehicles being used to smuggle petroleum products collided before catching fire.The smugglers engaged in illegal transportation of petroleum products between the Idiroko Nigerian border and the neighbouring Republic of Benin.The victims,one of whom was simply identified as Fatai,his younger brother and a customer were all burnt alive following the collision.Eyewitnesses said it was while trying to avoid being arrested by security operatives,particularly the Nigerian Customs Service {NCS} patrol team,that the ford bus collided with a Nissan sunny car right infront of FARIWARD petrol filling station located at Temitope area around 2am today tuesday.
