Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. Today sunday,Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit,Omole Phase 1 Ikeja Lagos,celebrated their Feast of Penticost with music performance from Gospel musician Mrs Nkiruka Mbah,Drama by their youth group in the church called C.Y.O.N.After 9:am mass,the reception moved from the main church,to the church hall,where all the activities that have been practiced for over few weeks back was show cased.Each society in the church had their own stand in which food was given out to parishtioners who wished to stay behind for the after party.More photos below.
