 Peter Obi lies like fish drinking water –Festus Keyamo Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has accused the 2027 Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, of deliberately fabricating claims regarding a recent airport incident. Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ on Thursday night, July 30, Keyamo alleged that Obi lied about his experience at the airport to score political points. “That man was lying. He lies like a fish drinking water. He lies. He lies for fun,” Keyamo stated. The Minister noted that Obi had publicly complained of facing harassment from airport officials strictly due to his opposition status. THE AIRPORT IN BENIN CITY,TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR 4 WEEKS.

                 According to an airport staff who spoke to journalist today said that the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria {FAAN},has ordered the temporary closure between 20 June and 17 July 2015,to enable management carry out maintenance of the airport's runway to ease flight landing and take off.The manager of the Airport,Mr Ayodele Sunday,failed to comment on the issue,simply saying that he was yet to be briefed.The last time the airport was renovated was when Stella Oduah was still Minister of Aviation.So passengers are advised to use alternative routes as all flight activities are expected to shift to Warri or Asaba Airport pending when repairs are fully effected.
