Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. It was reported today monday that FIFA President Sepp Blatter and UEFA boss Michel Platini have been suspended for eight years from all football-related activities followiung an ethics investigation.They were found guilty of breaches surrounding a £1.3m {$2m} ''Disloyal payment'' made to Platini in 2011.The FIFA ethics committee found Batter and Platini had demonstrated an abusive execution of their positions.Platini said ''The decision was a masquerade intended to dirty his name while Sepp Blatter said ''I will fight for me and for FIFA''.Both men,continue to deny wrongdoing and intended to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.Blatter from Swiss and 60 year old Frenchman Platini have also been fined £33,700 {$40,000} and £54,000 {$80,000} respectively.One more photo below.
