 𝐁𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢, 𝐀𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐬, 𝐀𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐞, 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝟕𝟔𝟐 𝐅𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has revoked the lands allocated to several prominent Nigerians, including former President Muhammadu Buhari, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, due to non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy fees. Also, 759 other prominent figures and organisations in Maitama II, Abuja. were also affected by the revocation which was for non-payment of Certificate of Occupancy. This was contained in a publication by the FCT Administration and made available to newsmen by the Special Adviser to the FCT Minister, Lere Olayinka. POLICE PRESS RELEASE, LAGOS STATE COMMAND, DATED 8TH JULY, 2021

AIYE CONFRATERNITY 7/7 CELEBRATION: LAGOS POLICE ARREST 4, RECOVER WEAPONS AS POLICE GO TOUGH ON SUSPECTED CULTISTS

In furtherance of the command's repeated warnings against the Neo Black Movement of Africa, aka Black Axe 7/7 annual celebration, slated for 7th July, 2021, the police operatives attached to Area "J", Ajah and Ogombo Division of the Lagos arrested 4 suspected members of Aiye Confraternity on 7th July, 2021.
The operatives attached to Area J, Ajah, while on routine Stop and Search, arrested two suspected cultists: Michael Abejoye, m, 23, and Olalekan Quasim, m, 43 at Eleko Junction, Ajah Area at 1.30pm, with the regalia of Aiye Confraternity.

Similarly, the police operatives attached to Ogombo Division, arrested two (2) suspected Aiye Confraternity members one Andoh Emmanuel Kolawole, m, 25 and Oluwasegun Destiny, m, 28, on 8th July, 202, at 6.30am, in Ogombo Area of Lagos State.
Items recovered from them include one locally-made double barrel short gun, seven (7) live cartridges, one expended cartridge and some regalia of the Aiye Confraternity.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the Command's Strike Team, Ikeja, for proper investigation and possible prosecution, while he reiterated the command's commitment to sustain its fight against cultism and other forms of criminality in Lagos State.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
