 PDP court hearing over pro-Wike faction suit adjourned to Jan 14 The Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday adjourned the hearing of a suit by the pro-Wike faction of the PDP challenging the Ibadan National Convention until January 14, 2026. The adjournment followed a motion by the opposing faction, led by Kabiru Turaki, seeking the recusal of Justice Joyce Abdulmalik over alleged bias. The court held the motion was not yet ripe for hearing, as some parties had not been served. The suit involves disputes over party leadership recognition, access to PDP headquarters, and INEC’s acknowledgment of party representatives. A related counter-suit by the Turaki-led faction was also adjourned to January 16.

News Agency of Nigeria partners CIG to bridge publicity gap


Another millstone has been recorded as the foremost news agency in Africa; News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) partners the Creative Industry Group (CIG) on creating media publicity for the group.


The partnerships was brokered when the delegation of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) NAN chapter, led by its Chairman, Mr Yusuf Yinus and other executives paid a courtesy call at the CIG Office at Abule Egba, Lagos.


The NAN delegation was received by the President of CIG, Amb Felix Duke and his Executives,  Legendary Pupa Orites Williki, Legendary Emeka Ossia , Diva Lady Capriz and   Diva Toyosi Ololade,  who relayed the several achievement of the group to the delegation of NUJ, NAN chapter.


The President of  NUJ NAN chapter, Mr Yinus however offered to assist the group in whatever way in their capacity.


Speaking on the activities of the group, CIG President, Felix Duke said that the group was formed to see to the welfare of the members and look for ways of improving them.


``We at CIG are ecstatic with the visit coming at a time we are looking forward to seeing that the interest of our members is well protected.


``CIG as a group has embarked on different projects to help within ourselves especially for those in the creative space.


``We have our estate projects and other projects like Life Insurance policy, Health and Accident Insurance and we have also given out Closed User Group (CUG) line for our members, he said.


Amb. Duke further disclosed that the CIG would not rest on its oars until the group was pushed to the intended enviable height for the welfare of its members.


``These are the things we want to be engaging in as a group to sort for positive partnerships that will further boost the image of the group.


``Our CIG festivals is fast approaching and we need publicity, thanks be to God that we have organisation like NAN willing to partner with us in the area of publicity.


``NAN is an organisation that can give us the required publicity considering their reach all over Nigeria and also abroad, so the partnerships are timely enough.


For us in the CIG, I am sure that better days are ahead of us, he said.
