 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Kwara: NYSC conducts free Medical services for rural dwellers

National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kwara state has conducted free medical outreach for Rural Dwellers (HIRD) in Idofian community in Ifelodun local government area of the state.

Declaring the programme open, the NYSC state coordinator, Mr. Onifade Joshua, said the programme was designed by the scheme for rural dwellers to have access to free medical care.

 According to him the free medical care is part of the scheme's contribution to national development and service to humanity.

Mr Joshua enjoined members of the community to take advantage of the programme to advance their medical status.
   
Also speaking, the Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Muhammad Ademola, represented by , Alhaji Balogun Disu, appreciated the kind gesture extended to their community by the NYSC .

He encouraged all residents of the community to cooperate with the corps medical personnel and make use of medications administered as instructed.
